Intellect

A wise man once said, “Give up education, the world would be a better place.” If we take it from an intellectual perspective then we understand how education can only take you so far. I learned this fact the hard way. I was so interested in earning my degrees’ that I literally lost sight of my passion for the healing profession. Part of why this happened was I believed I could educate myself about trauma to heal myself. That only got me so far because all that time and effort I put into school I neglected myself; to the point that I checked myself into the hospital for the weekend. I refused to turn inward to heal. Why would I when there was so many ways to distract myself from doing so? Just like there is spiritual bypassing when dealing with trauma there is intellectual bypassing as well. You can run but you can’t hide because the only way out is through.
