Sailing

“A ship in harbor is safe — but that is not what ships are built for.” — John A. Shedd. The same could be said for people. We can stay in our comfort zone and keep safe from the storm; though there is no growth or challenge to be had from doing so. This is not to say that life should only be about the chaos and unpredictability but rather the more experience we expose ourselves to in dealing with the stormy weather on our journey, the better equipped we will become. Smooth sailing always proceeds the storm. We must learn to ride out the waves and trust that clear skies are on the horizon.
